IL-3 / APC / REA1033
Product Details
Description | Clone REA1033 recognizes the mouse interleukin-3 (IL-3), which is a hematopoietic growth factor produced mainly by activated T cells. IL-3 is also secreted by other cell types, including mast cells, eosinophils, and keratinocytes. The broad spectrum of biological activities of IL-3 includes the stimulation of the proliferation and differentiation of immature pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells and various lineage-committed progenitor cells, leading to the production of most of the major blood cell types. In addition, IL-3 also affects the functional activity of mature mast cells, basophils, eosinophils, and macrophages. | Additional information: Clone REA1033 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About IL-3
The protein encoded by this gene is a potent growth promoting cytokine. This cytokine is capable of supporting the proliferation of a broad range of hematopoietic cell types. It is involved in a variety of cell activities such as cell growth, differentiation and apoptosis. This cytokine has been shown to also possess neurotrophic activity, and it may be associated with neurologic disorders. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

About APC
Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
