CD41/CD61 / PE / REAL179
Product Details
Description | Clone REAL179 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CD41/CD61 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAlease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL179 recognizes the CD41/CD61 complex, also known as gpIIb/IIIa complex or integrin alphaIIbbeta3. This cell adhesion molecule is an alpha/beta transmembrane heterodimer of the ubiquitous integrin superfamily which is expressed by megakaryocytes and platelets. The CD41/CD61 complex plays an significant role in hemostasis and is also involved in fibrinogen binding and platelet aggregation. | The REAlease Kits consist of the respective fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes and the REAlease Support Kit for removal of the REAlease Complexes and optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes. | |

About PE
Phycoerythrin (PE, R-PE) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein-chromophore complex that can be excited the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser with increasing efficiency and captured with a 586/14 nm bandpass filter. PE has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 578 nm. PE is 240kD in size and has an extinction coefficient of ~2x10^6 which makes it one of the brightest fluorophores available and a potent donor upon which to build tandem fluorophores with longer Stoke's Shifts.
