CD294 / PE-Vio770 / REA598

Product Details
Description Clone REA598 recognizes the CD294 antigen, also known as chemoattractant receptor-homologous molecule expressed on Tʜ2 cells (CRTH2). CD294 is a seven-transmembrane G protein–coupled receptor for prostaglandin D2 involved in migration of leukocytes and is expressed on T helper type 2 (Tʜ2) cells, a subpopulation of CD4+ T cells, but not on Tʜ1 cells. The CD294 antigen is highly expressed on peripheral blood basophils and eosinophils. It is also present on a small population of CD8+ T cells and on a subpopulation of dendritic cells (DCs). | Additional information: Clone REA598 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.

About CD294
This gene encodes a G-protein-coupled receptor that is preferentially expressed in CD4+ effector T helper 2 (Th2) cells. This protein is a prostaglandin D2 receptor that mediates the pro-inflammatory chemotaxis of eosinophils, basophils, and Th2 lymphocytes generated during allergic inflammation. Single nucleotide polymorphisms in the 3' UTR of this gene have been associated with asthma susceptibility.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]
About PE-Vio770
PE-Vio® 770 from Miltenyi Biotec is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines pycoerythrin (PE) and Vio®770. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Vio®770, which emitts light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. PE-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 775 nm and is a common alternative to PE-Cy7 and PE-H7.
