CD134 / PE-Vio770 / REA621
Product Details
Description | Clone REA621 recognizes the CD134 (OX40) antigen, a member of the tumor necrosis factor/nerve growth factor receptor (TNFR/NGFR) family. CD134 is a 50 kDa type I membrane glycoprotein expressed by activated T lymphocytes. The interaction of CD134 with OX40L has been implicated in T cell–dependent humoral response, regulation of primary T cell expansion, survival of T cells, size of the memory T cell pool, and regulation of tolerance in the CD4+ T cell compartment. It is reported, that CD134 activates NF-kappaB through its interaction with adaptor proteins TRAF2 and TRAF5. | Additional information: Clone REA621 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About CD134
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor has been shown to activate NF-kappaB through its interaction with adaptor proteins TRAF2 and TRAF5. Knockout studies in mice suggested that this receptor promotes the expression of apoptosis inhibitors BCL2 and BCL2lL1/BCL2-XL, and thus suppresses apoptosis. The knockout studies also suggested the roles of this receptor in CD4+ T cell response, as well as in T cell-dependent B cell proliferation and differentiation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

About PE-Vio770
PE-Vio® 770 from Miltenyi Biotec is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines pycoerythrin (PE) and Vio®770. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Vio®770, which emitts light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. PE-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 775 nm and is a common alternative to PE-Cy7 and PE-H7.
