TAOK3 / Unconjugated /

Product Details
Description TAOK3, also known as DPK or JIK, is a member of the TAO subfamily of serine/threonine kinases. The activity of TAOK3 can be negatively regulated by tyrosine kinase receptors, such as EGF receptor activation. In addition, the downstream targets of TAOK3 inhibit, rather than enhance, JNK/SAPK activation. Therefore, TAOK3 has been named as a JNK/SAPK-inhibitory kinase.

About TAOK3
The protein encoded by this gene is a serine/threonine protein kinase that activates the p38/MAPK14 stress-activated MAPK cascade but inhibits the basal activity of the MAPK8/JNK cascade. The encoded protein is a member of the GCK subfamily of STE20-like kinases. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2016]
