GZF1 / Unconjugated /

Product Details
Description Rabbit polyclonal antibody to ZNF336 also known as zinc finger protein and GDNF-inducible zinc finger protein1 whose expression can be detected in the skeletal muscle and liver but it is highly expressed in the fetal brain. It is found in the nucleoplasm. This protein acts as a transcriptional repressor and binds the GZF1 responsive element (GRE) (consensus: 5'-TGCGCN[TG][CA]TATA-3'). May be regulating VSX2/HOX10 expression. It is extensively involved in metal ion binding and RNA polymerase II core promoter proximal region sequence-specific DNA binding.

About GZF1
Enables DNA-binding transcription repressor activity, RNA polymerase II-specific and RNA polymerase II cis-regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding activity. Involved in negative regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Located in nucleolus and nucleoplasm. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Apr 2022]
