About ROS-ID Red


ROS-ID Red Hypoxia is a fluorogenic, cell-permeant reagent used in kits from Enzo Life Sciences to detect hypoxic cells. The reagent becomes fluorescent under the activity of intracellular nitroreductase activity which converts the nitro group to hydroxylamine (NHOH) and an amino group (NH2) which releases the fluorescent probe. It has an excitation peak at 645 nm and an emission peak at 662 nm.
