Aliases: pHZ-20
Other: zinc finger protein 136

This gene encodes a zinc finger protein containing a Kruppel-associated box (KRAB) A-box domain at its N-terminus, followed by fourteen contiguous C2H2 zinc finger domains and a degenerate zinc finger. The KRAB A-box showed weak transcriptional repressor activity in a reporter gene assay. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Excitation Peak: 651
Emission Peak: 660

Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
