Tripeptidyl-Peptidase I

Aliases: CLN2, GIG1, LPIC, SCAR7, TPP-1
Other: tripeptidyl-peptidase 1|cell growth-inhibiting gene 1 protein|growth-inhibiting protein 1|lysosomal pepstatin insensitive protease|lysosomal pepstatin-insensitive carboxypeptidase|tripeptidyl aminopeptidase|tripeptidyl peptidase I

This gene encodes a member of the sedolisin family of serine proteases. The protease functions in the lysosome to cleave N-terminal tripeptides from substrates, and has weaker endopeptidase activity. It is synthesized as a catalytically-inactive enzyme which is activated and auto-proteolyzed upon acidification. Mutations in this gene result in late-infantile neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis, whic... see more

Alexa Fluor 488

Common Laser: 488
Common Filter: 530/43
Excitation Peak: 496
Emission Peak: 519

Alexa Fluor™ 488 (AF488, Alexa 488) has an excitation peak at 488 nm and an emission peak at 496 nm, and is considered a high-performance alternative to FITC. Alexa 488 is one of the most popular Alexa Fluor™ dyes and is widely used in Fluorescence Microscopy, flow cytometry, and for staining low expression markers. It is bright, highly photostable, resistant to pH changes, and less suscept... see more
