ST6GAL2

Aliases: SIAT2, ST6GalII
Other: beta-galactoside alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 2|CMP-N-acetylneuraminate-beta-galactosamide-alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 2|ST6 beta-galactosamide alpha-2,6-sialyltranferase 2|alpha 2,6-ST 2|beta-galactoside alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase II|sialyltransferase 2 (monosialoganglioside sialyltransferase)

This locus encodes a sialyltransferase. The encoded type II transmembrane protein catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP to an oligosaccharide substrate. Polymorphisms at this locus may be associated with variations in risperidone response in schizophrenic patients. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. APC

Common Laser: 628-640
Common Filter: 660/20
Excitation Peak: 651
Emission Peak: 660

Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
