SREBP2

Aliases: SREBP-2, SREBP2, bHLHd2
Other: sterol regulatory element-binding protein 2|class D basic helix-loop-helix protein 2

This gene encodes a member of the a ubiquitously expressed transcription factor that controls cholesterol homeostasis by regulating transcription of sterol-regulated genes. The encoded protein contains a basic helix-loop-helix-leucine zipper (bHLH-Zip) domain and binds the sterol regulatory element 1 motif. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Excitation Peak: 482
Emission Peak: 675

Peridinin-Chlorophyll-Protein (PerCP) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein isolated from algae that can be excited by the 488 nm blue laser and captured with a 670/30 nm bandpass filter. PerCP exhibits a large Stokes' Shift, with an excitation peak at 482 nm and an emission peak at 675 nm. PerCP is was historically used in flow cytometry, however it is highly susceptible to photobleaching and... see more
