Members of this gene family typically encode proteins that contain a paired box domain, an octapeptide, and a paired-type homeodomain. CF®488A from Biotium is a fluorophore with an excitation peak at 490 nm and an emission peak at 515 nm. It is spectrally similar to Fluorescein, Alexa Fluor™ 488 and DyLight™ 488.
