OGDH

Aliases: AKGDH, E1k, E1o, KGD1, OGDC, OGDH-E1, OGDH2, OGDHD
Other: 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex component E1|2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial|OGDC-E1|alpha-KGDH-E1|oxoglutarate (alpha-ketoglutarate) dehydrogenase (lipoamide)|oxoglutarate decarboxylase|oxoglutarate dehydrogenase (succinyl-transferring)|testicular tissue protein Li 131|thiamine diphosphate (ThDP)-dependent 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase

This gene encodes one subunit of the 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex. This complex catalyzes the overall conversion of 2-oxoglutarate (alpha-ketoglutarate) to succinyl-CoA and CO(2) during the Krebs cycle. The protein is located in the mitochondrial matrix and uses thiamine pyrophosphate as a cofactor. A congenital deficiency in 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase activity is believed to lead to ... see more

Common Laser: 488-561
Common Filter: 586/14
Excitation Peak: 565
Emission Peak: 578

Phycoerythrin (PE, R-PE) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein-chromophore complex that can be excited the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser with increasing efficiency and captured with a 586/14 nm bandpass filter. PE has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 578 nm. PE is 240kD in size and has an extinction coefficient of ~2x10^6 which makes it one of the b... see more
