KCNJ10

Aliases: BIRK-10, KCNJ13-PEN, KIR1.2, KIR4.1, SESAME
Other: ATP-sensitive inward rectifier potassium channel 10|ATP-dependent inwardly rectifying potassium channel Kir4.1|glial ATP-dependent inwardly rectifying potassium channel KIR4.1|inward rectifier K(+) channel Kir1.2|inward rectifier K+ channel KIR1.2|potassium channel, inwardly rectifying subfamily J member 10|potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily J member 10

This gene encodes a member of the inward rectifier-type potassium channel family, characterized by having a greater tendency to allow potassium to flow into, rather than out of, a cell. The encoded protein may form a heterodimer with another potassium channel protein and may be responsible for the potassium buffering action of glial cells in the brain. Mutations in this gene have been associate... see more

Alexa Fluor 532

Common Laser: 532
Common Filter: 575/36
Excitation Peak: 532
Emission Peak: 554

Alexa Fluor™ 532 (AF532, Alexa 532) has an excitation peak at 532 nm and an emission peak at 554 nm, and is spectrally similar to Cy®3 (GE Healthcare), TRITC, iFluor® 514 (ATT Bioquest) and iFluor® 546 (ATT Bioquest). Many flow cytometers are equipped with 532nm lasers, so while Alexa 532 can be used for flow cytometry, PE is more commonly used due to its brightness and spectral characteristics... see more
