The protein encoded by this gene is closely related to Il13RA1, a subuint of the interleukin 13 receptor complex. This protein binds IL13 with high affinity, but lacks cytoplasmic domain, and does not appear to function as a signal mediator. It is reported to play a role in the internalization of IL13. RealBlue™ 705 from BD Biosciences is a novel fluorescent multimer that exhibits improvements upon PerCP-Cy5.5 and BB700 due to lower cross beam excitation efficiency with the 355nm UV, 405nm violet, 561nm yellow/green and 633/647nm red lasers, which results in less spectral spillover and resultant spreading error associated with the use of this fluorophore in a multicolor panel.
