CYP8B1

Aliases: CP8B, CYP12
Other: 7-alpha-hydroxycholest-4-en-3-one 12-alpha-hydroxylase|7 alpha-hydroxy-4-cholesten-3-one 12-alpha-hydroxylase|CYPVIIIB1|cytochrome P450 8B1|cytochrome P450, family 8, subfamily B, polypeptide 1|cytochrome P450, subfamily VIIIB (sterol 12-alpha-hydroxylase), polypeptide 1|sterol 12-alpha-hydroxylase

This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein catalyzes the conversion of 7 alpha-hydroxy-4-cholesten-3-one into 7-alpha,12-alpha-dihydroxy-4-cholesten-3-one. The... see more

Common Laser: 488
Common Filter: 670/30
Excitation Peak: 482
Emission Peak: 675

Peridinin-Chlorophyll-Protein (PerCP) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein isolated from algae that can be excited by the 488 nm blue laser and captured with a 670/30 nm bandpass filter. PerCP exhibits a large Stokes' Shift, with an excitation peak at 482 nm and an emission peak at 675 nm. PerCP is was historically used in flow cytometry, however it is highly susceptible to photobleaching and... see more
