This gene encodes a member of the CD300 glycoprotein family of cell surface proteins found on leukocytes involved in immune response signaling pathways. This gene is located on chromosome 17 in a cluster with all but one of the other family members. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Brilliant™ Violet 605 (BV605) is an orange/red-emitting tandem fluorophore that can be excited by the 405 nm Violet laser and collected using a 610/20 bandpass filter. BV605 has an excitation peak at 405 nm and an and emission peak at 603 nm. BV605 is most commonly used in flow cytometry and is spectrally similar to SuperBright 600 (Thermo Fisher), SuperNova v605 (Beckman Coulter) and StarBrigh... see more
